While Carrington had recently signed with a local agency and was already doing a fair amount of print work, we made the decision that we wanted to explore the acting side of things. We went to our first Talent Inc. in March 2018 and met with numerous agents from NY and LA. She is now signed with The Savage Agency in LA and deciding between several NY agents. Talent Inc. was a great experience for us as we were looking to get our foot in the door and network with others in the industry. Mission accomplished. We are headed out to LA & NY for the summer, wish us luck!

Talent Inc. was a great experience for Maggie. We put her in really to see if she had what it takes to get into the acting business. We were blown away by the experience and with Maggie winning best Overall Child Talent we learned she did indeed have “it”. We had interest from multiple bicoastal agents and ended up visiting with several. As Maggie’s true passion is musical theatre we ended up with an agent in NYC who specializes in musical theatre. As a result, Maggie has had several auditions for both Broadway shows and Broadway touring shows. She has also auditioned for several movies and television shows, making final callbacks and meeting directors for a few. She is still waiting for that “big break” but is enjoying the process and learning new skills along the way making sure to take time to spend with family and friends.

Abigail Parker Brown Acting Out Studio proved to be a wonderful way to hone my skills and take my acting to the next level.  The instructors are experienced in getting jobs in the industry. The Master Film Class helped me by being in front of the camera frequently. What I learned has greatly helped me in professional settings. Acting Out studio taught me that I will never stop learning. The more I practice and the harder I work the better I become. It gave me a safe space to practice and to learn. I had the freedom to mess up which was what I needed to get better. The ability to watch myself on camera taught me more than I ever imagined. The opportunity to go to Talent Inc. was a game changer.  I was honored in winning best overall actress. Talent Inc. taught me the power of networking and the importance of learning everyday, proactively. Seeing actors that work in LA and NYC as well as hearing from casting agents, and directors gives a whole new perspective on the craft of acting. Not to mention the real work of putting together a commercial, film scene, and doing improv in front of experienced agents who work in the industry everyday. Since Talent Inc. I have acquired an agent. I have had the opportunity be in numerous different productions. I have also had several auditions for local commercials and films. I am grateful to Acting Out Studio, the teachers, and Kamber for the opportunities I received.

After seeing Jack perform last weekend, I said to him, maybe you should take improv!  The main reason my husband and I wanted him to do Talent Inc. was to see how he performed, and what level his seriousness is about acting.  I was so impressed with the whole event, and how well our AOS students performed! Kamber, you and the rest of the staff did an amazing job preparing them!

Most of my best memories are in front of that huge window and black stage at Acting Out Studios. The best part of acting class and student films with AOS was teaching me to have a conscious awareness of what to do in front of a camera. These courses fostered a sense of self, challenged my creative thinking process, and inspired me to realize life is more than textbooks and rules; it was instead creativity, passion, and laughter. The friends, both students and teachers, I made in my AOS classes understood me like no other people and were there for me in times of celebration and times of hurt. They are your supporters. AOS offers a broad scope of classes, and no matter what, students always find their place whether it is in improv, theatre, or acting for the screen. It is a place to display what you have learned over time and embrace what each one of us has innately in us as actors—the passion to perform. AOS encouraged me to follow my heart with confidence and with that, I ended up in LA and will attend UCLA, being involved in all things screen and stage at school and in the surrounding area. Without Kamber, Patrick, and EB, and the best AOS team, I am not sure if I would have ever made it over here. With years of AOS training, the improv techniques learned in Charlotte led me to having an inner sense of confidence when doing it with Upright Citizens Brigade in LA. Thank you AOS for being an environment of support, education, and embracing what bonds us all.

After many summer acting camps, school and community theater productions, and a strong passion for performing, Chandler had the opportunity to attend Talent, Inc. with Acting Out Studio when he was 11yrs.  He prepared for many months with AOS working on his craft and honing his skills.  Chandler loved his time at Talent Inc. attending the many classes offered to continue learning about acting in TV and Film.  He especially loved performing his monologue, improv and film scene.  Upon completion of the incredible workshops and all of the performances at Talent Inc, Chandler was awarded the Gold acting award in his age group.  That evening was one we will never forget.  It was such a wonderful honor to be amongst so many talented children and be recognized for his hard work and talent.

After many invitations to meet with talent agents and managers at Talent, Inc., we were soon on our way to Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles for follow up meetings.  We developed a great team, decided to try out pilot season in LA and we ended up staying there!  Chandler has been so fortunate to have incredible opportunities and has starred in two short films – Cold Embrace and Piano Lessons, tv shows like Shameless, S.W.A.T., Blackish, PEN15, Just My Luck, tv commercials and more.  He also performed a live comedy routine at the famed Feinstein’s at Vitello’s in Studio City, CA.  He is currently working in Toronto on a Warner Bros. feature film, 8-Bit Christmas, to be released later this year.

We are incredibly thankful for Acting Out Studio, Kamber Hejlik and Talent Inc. for helping us navigate this acting journey.

Dreams do come true!

Chris started taking classes at Acting Out Studio when he was 8 yrs old. It opened a whole new world to him. The acting classes gave Chris a very strong foundation in the industry, and he was able to confidently walk into auditions and book several commercial and short film jobs. The film program introduced Chris to the world of not just acting but filmmaking. He has gone on to direct and produce his own short films, and last year he booked a major role in the feature film Wish Man. The footage from his AOS films opened many doors for him, and the experience he got on the AOS film sets made him look like a seasoned professional while on the set of Wish Man. He has received many accolades on his professionalism while on set, and much of it is due to the preparation that he received at AOS. Thank you AOS for teaching him, guiding him and supporting him as he navigates this crazy business!!
