AOS Acting for the Camera Classes are where our actors train to be successful working actors. Our curriculum comes from a collection of top industry professionals. We give our actors the tools and knowledge to succeed. Our classes are divided depending on experience level. 5-8yr, 9-12yr, Teen.

ACTING I

Acting I students will learn the fundamentals of basic acting and the audition process while having fun! Students will work on commercials, improv, film scenes and monologues. Actors will complete the level 1 class with an accelerated sense of self as an actor achieved through both solo work as well as working with others. 5-8yr, 9-12yr, Teen.

ACTING III

In this advanced class students will rise to the challenge of tackling material and industry concepts on par with that of more seasoned actors. Students will work on improv, commercial, film scenes and monologues. This class is focused on preparing actors for the audition room by getting them to make strong, unique choices, break down material, listening and reacting and being in the moment. The Acting 3 students will gain a solid perspective of themselves as well as an understanding of the industry. 9-17yr.

Master Class

This class is by invitation only to students who have been enrolled at AOS for at least 2 years. This class will primarily focus on mastering the audition process and booking the job. This class will give students real life professional acting experiences that will help them feel prepared for their next audition or day on set.

Improv

Improvisation isn’t just performing without a script; It’s the art of embracing the moment. The art of listening and responding positively to the world around you. A.O.S. Improv takes great pride in its training and performance program as it not only prepares the actor for the audition, but we are teaching our students life skills to better themselves in the classroom, at the workplace, and at home.

Improv Performance Team

The performance teams are comprised of the funniest, most professional, determined, and talented performers our program has to offer! Each team has its own form, making them unique from the other teams at our studio AND the Charlotte region. Use the pic below for improv Performance Team.

Musical Theater

A triple threat class that teaches students to act, sing, and dance in a fun and energetic way. Students will learn breath support, diction, intonation (singing in tune), beat and rhythm, expressive movements, gestures and facial expressions, and performance strategies.  5-8yr, 9-12yr, Teen.

Advanced Musical Theater

This class is created and designed to foster the needs of a true and dedicated performer in an advanced setting. This class will take the skills and push them to the challenge that musical theater requires of its performers. Students will be able to go through the entire process that professional venues, television shows, Off- Broadway and Broadway Musicals possess. Our students will learn dance, expressive movement, vocal strength and training, as well as acting on an intensive level. Performers will learn all aspects of the Musical Theatre world, from costumes to set design, from auditions to the final curtain. 9-13yr and Teen.

Private Vocal Lessons

AOS private vocal lessons are taught with care for developing your voice with a focus on resonance breath control, intonation, and development of vocal range. Our vocal coaches individualize the lessons to the need and experience level of the student. Each private lesson will be comprised of both technique as well as application to a song in order to prepare the student.

Private Coaching

Whether you’re preparing for an audition or simply want one on one supplemental training, AOS offers unique, customizable, private training with one of our professional acting coaches. Coaching can be in person or virtual. Private acting coaching.

Birthday Parties

Each party includes acting instruction from one of our professional instructors, fun improv games and warmups, and an original film scene OR musical song/dance performance for your child and their guests! We provide a stage, table and chairs for the event – feel free to bring cake, pizza, snacks, decorations and/or goody bags.

AOS offers industry workshops with some of the top industry casting directors, talent agents, and acting coaches across the country. We feel that learning from the best in the industry is important to our students.

Talent Inc

AOS offers Talent Inc. our intensive development program. This prestigious program is audition only and is designed to develop new and advanced actors by taking them to the next level by getting them ready to audition, book jobs and get representation. Talent Inc. is 40 Hours of intensive training with AOS Owner Kamber Hejlik and culminates with the Talent Inc. Showcase in Orlando which takes place in March and Aug every year.

Summer Camps

Award Winning Camp Acting Out! Come spend your summer at Acting Out Studio! AOS has a ton of fun and creative ways to spend your summer break. Our AOS Summer Camps are offered all summer long – June through August – at our Charlotte, Fort Mill, and Cornelius Studios. We have weekly themed camps every week of the summer!
