Improv Director / Social Media Director
Karla Dingle has spent her life on stage. She began theater classes at the age of five and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Theater from the University of Georgia in 1998. Since discovering improv in 2009, Karla has continued to hone her craft through workshops and classes at institutions like The Second City, Hoopla, The Groundlings, and others.
Karla is currently the Education Director at Queen City Comedy in addition to running her own theatrical company Dingle Drama. She performs regularly with Now Are the Foxes Improv Comedy, Pillow Talk Improv, Close Distance Improv, and British American Experience.
Teaching and coaching are Karla’s deepest passions. She specializes in exploring the intersection of acting and improvisation, using traditional acting techniques to enhance performances in both disciplines. Karla has taught students from around the world—including Peru, Israel, India, Japan, Canada, Europe, South Africa, and the Philippines—and has been a guest instructor for festivals and organizations such as Improv Fest Ireland (Dublin) Dramatic Improv Festival (Chicago), Vintage Improv Festival (Boston), Highwire Improv (Baltimore), The Improv Boost (England), Improv 502 (Louisville), Virtual Hug Improv (Manila), Liverpool Comedy Improv, and the Bangalore Improv Community.
In 2023, Karla was honored as a Theater IDA Artist-in-Residence in Zurich, Switzerland.
In 2025, Karla was chosen by The Improv Boost as one of the International Instructors on the SUDDEN IMPACT 2025 Improv Teachers.
Her students have gone on to appear in feature films for Netflix and Amazon Prime, television series, voiceover work, and commercial campaigns for brands like CVS, Lending Tree, Food Lion, and Atrium Health.
