Acting Instructor

Jessica Abrams is an actress, writer and standup comic. Her web series KNOCKING ON DOORS garnered accolades at the IndieFest Film Awards, Southern Shorts, and the International Independent Film Awards. Having trained with Anthony Meindl at AMAW in Los Angeles, she recently guest-starred on NBC’s CHICAGO FIRE. She also plays the wife of Bruce Willis in SURVIVE THE NIGHT, currently streaming on Netflix. She is a produced television writer and playwright and a graduate of Barnard College.

As a standup comic, Jessica was a regular at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles in 2018. She has performed in clubs all over the country, and even in Paris. France.

She loves teaching acting to kids, teens and adults. When the pandemic happened, she took her coaching practice online and now works with actors of all ages throughout the country. In the non-virtual world, she employs both movement exercises (she was, after all, a dancer) and writing exercises (she is, after all, a writer) to get the creative juices flowing. She believes acting is part of a human impulse to engage in the storytelling process and considers it a gift to enable others to participate in it and reach their full creative potential.
