Musical Theater / Vocal Instructor

Michelle is a first-generation Mexican-American artist based in Charlotte, NC. Her scope of work encompasses all performing arts areas, from performance to directing to writing. She is a proud alum of Catawba College, where she received a BFA in Musical Theatre with Minors in Creative Writing and Music. Michelle’s devised play, Mythos, was recently produced at Catawba and toured to Lexington, KY where it was featured as part of their Fringe Festival. Her other projects include teaching at the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, and writing reviews for the online publication Cultural Voice North Carolina. Though she has recently stepped away from performance to dedicate herself to her other passions, Michelle’s recent roles include Songs for a New World (Company) and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune (Frankie).

Michelle looks forward to sharing her wisdom with the talented students at AOS and hopes to learn from them as well!
